The School Was Founded by Dr. and Mrs. Anderson out of a love for their children, Annie and Alexander, and for their love and concern for other children. The atmosphere throughout the learning environment reflects this feeling of love and respect.
This unique school was established to enhance the diverse gifts, talents and creativity of highly able children.
The present five acre site was purchased in 1989. The first building was acquir
ed from the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Burleson in 1991 with renovations completed and classes commencing in 1995.
LeVonna C. Anderson, Director of the Campus, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History and the Associate in Arts degree from Tarrant County College.
She has taught at the primary, elementary and secondary levels and served as Chair of the English department at Brewer High School in White Settlement.
Dr. William C. Anderson, CO-director of the school, received the Doctor of
Education degree with a triple major in curriculum, educational psychology and administration from Baylor University. His dissertation resulted in a study of programs for the gifted and talented in Texas public schools.
He also holds the Master of Education degree from Abilene Christian University, the Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from Hardin-Simmons University and the Associate in Arts degree, with high honor, from Ranger Junior College.
The Teaching Staff is purposefully drawn from very diverse backgrounds and interests. Each teacher is experienced in areas of the curriculum for which they must harbor a passion.
