Co-Director & Founder
Founded in 1995, Anderson is a small, independent, private school for gifted, talented, and creative students that allows for true academic freedom. Anderson School has no traditional grading, no standardized tests, and no traditional homework. We focus on early college enrollment, and usually, at age sixteen, students are dual-enrolled in college and Anderson. The school was founded to serve the unique needs of intellectually, academically, and creatively precocious children. The primary mission of the school is to motivate children by providing an exceptionally different learning environment. Find out how we can make a difference in your child's life.
The architecture of the curriculum is structured to empower students by offering a breadth of intellectual pursuit and depth of study. The programs of study introduce students to a variety of focuses that engage personal interests and fosters competencies and gifts that otherwise may lie dormant. An emphasis is placed upon thinking as a substantive part of life. Core scholastic subjects are accelerated and compacted. Students move through subjects at their own pace. This freedom allows most students to progress through subjects at a rate typically much faster than study constrained within a traditional grade allows.
Prospective parents and students are welcome to spend the day with us, to further explore the curriculum for themselves. We welcome you to bring your entire family along for the visit. If your are located in the DFW area (Fort Worth, Keller, Arlington, Weatherford, Aledo, or Willow Park) or are planning on relocating to the area, please give us a call. We have students from all over the metroplex. We look forward to meeting with your family.
The admission procedure is intended to acquaint prospective parents and students with the school and its philosophy. Furthermore, it is designed to give assurance that the goals parents have for their children's educational future are compatible with the mission and philosophy of the school.
